Andy Miofsky

Andy Miofsky attended University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and received an undergraduate liberal arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, studying Political Science and Economics.  He graduated from Washington University School of Law where he studied Debtor Creditor Rights and Bankruptcy law with Professor Michael Greenfield and Real Property Real Estate law with Professor David Becker.

Andy is an active member in the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.  He regularly participates as a seminar speaker in bankruptcy, office technology, mortgage foreclosure, credit card defense and Fair Debt Collection.  He has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week Online, MSNBC.com and various Associated Press stories.  His segment, "Facing the Foreclosure Crisis: Granite City", appeared on National Public Television and can be seen here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rkn8XXyU2aQ

Andy joined with a group of lawyers across the country, including nationally renown foreclosure defense specialist April Charney, pioneering foreclosure defense strategies designed to help clients keep their homes in the face of the mortgage mess created by Wall Street.

Andy is an avid bow hunter, fisherman, and naturalist.  His community service includes serving as a Hearing Office for the Madison County Illinois Code Enforcement Unit, and as a past president of the Granite City Library District.  Andy and his wife have three children, a cat, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and they feed a variety of wild birds at their Glen Carbon Illinois home.
